Automating tribe technology and gifts in Viking Rise
Contribution points and gift chests are the two things a tribe quietly judges you on, and both are pure repetition. This action does them on every account you own.
This guide assumes you've completed Viking Rise bot setup.
Turning it on is not enough. Tick Tribe Technology, Collect Tribe Gifts, or both. With neither ticked the action does nothing.
What the action does
Two independent jobs that both live on the tribe screen, bundled together because they share the same door.
- Tribe Technology — donates to the alliance research tree, spending a daily allowance of donation charges and earning you contribution points.
- Collect Tribe Gifts — claims the gifts your tribe has earned, across every gift tab, plus the big chest.
Tribe technology
The tribe leader marks one technology as recommended, and the bot donates to that first. Donating is limited by a pool of charges that refills over time rather than by your warehouse, so a pass donates until the pool is empty and then stops. If the recommended line won't take any more, it looks for another line that will rather than giving up.
Two things it handles that are easy to get wrong by hand:
- A line that looks full isn't necessarily full. Every technology carries two separate bars — research and skill — and one can be capped while the other still takes donations. The bot checks before spending a charge instead of burning attempts on a line that can't take them.
- A donation can immediately open a fresh chance. Sometimes a bulk donation re-offers the Donate button rather than greying it out. That's a successful donation, not a failure, so the bot donates again.
If the game raises an insufficient resources panel, the bot dismisses it and stops donating for that pass. It never taps Obtain, which would send you off to buy resources.
Collecting gifts
The bot walks the gift tabs — Common, Uncommon and Materials for War. On each it uses Collect All if the game offers it, and otherwise taps each Claim button until none are left. It then deletes the collected gifts so the list stays short, and finally opens the large gift box.
This is not the alliance bank
There are two different tribe donations in this game and they share a name. This action donates to the technology tree with donation charges. Paying resources into the alliance bank against its weekly quota is a separate action — see tribe resource donation.
Troubleshooting
Nothing happens at all. Neither sub-action is ticked.
It says there's nothing to donate. Either your allowance is spent for now, or every line the bot can reach is full on both bars. The pool refills over time, so a later pass gets another go.
I'm not in a tribe. The bot sees the Join/Create screen instead of the tribe home and finishes cleanly. Neither sub-action runs.
Technology stopped but gifts still ran. That's the intended behaviour — an insufficient-resources panel stops donating for that pass only, and gift collection is independent.
I run it several times a day. Gifts accumulate as your tribe earns them and the donation pool refills, so later passes find new work.
