Automating troop healing in Viking Rise

Wounded troops are the quietest loss in the game. They don't announce themselves, they don't stop anything working, and they sit in the Infirmary doing nothing until someone notices. This action is the noticing.

This guide assumes you've completed Viking Rise bot setup.

This one works the moment you turn it on. The two checkboxes only decide whether the bot may spend your inventory — leaving both off is a perfectly good setup.

What the action does

One pass opens your Infirmary, starts the heal, and takes free tribe help on the timer. If you allowed it, it also tops up resources from your inventory and spends speed-up items.

An account with nothing wounded is a clean skip — one quick look and the account moves on. That cheapness is why an extra copy of the action later in the cycle costs you almost nothing.

Setting it up

The Heal Troops action settings, showing the use resources and use speedups checkboxes
Two checkboxes, both off by default, because both spend things you own.

Use resources tops up from your inventory when the heal is short. Without it, a heal you can't afford simply isn't started.

Use speedups spends speed-up items on the healing timer.

Assist is always taken and isn't a setting. Once a heal is running, the game offers Assist to accounts in a tribe — free help from your tribemates, costing you nothing. The bot always takes it. Tribe-less accounts never see Assist; they see Speed Up instead, which is only used if you ticked the box.

Which Infirmary it uses

An account can hold more than one. Wounded troops queue at the highest-level one, so that's the one the bot opens — not whichever the game happens to hand back first.

Troubleshooting

It never does anything. Most likely nothing is wounded, which is the normal state for a farm account that isn't being attacked. The activity log will say so.

It won't start a heal. You're short of resources and Use resources is off. Tick it, or free some up.

It only heals some of my troops. The game decides what can be healed and the bot starts what the Infirmary offers. The Infirmary's own capacity is the limit, not the bot.

Nothing happens on a second pass. The Infirmary runs one heal at a time. With a heal already running the bot takes Assist and, if you allowed it, spends speed-ups — it won't start a second.

I want it to heal troops that are still out on a march. It can't; they have to come home first. That's Recall Troops.
